तत्र सर्वत्र दुष्टात्मा कर्ण: पापमतिर्मुखम् । “दुर्योधनने तुमलोगोंके साथ जो-जो पापपूर्ण बर्ताव किया है, उन सबमें पापबुद्धि दुष्टात्मा कर्ण ही प्रधान कारण है ।।
sañjaya uvāca | tatra sarvatra duṣṭātmā karṇaḥ pāpamatir mukham |
Sañjaya disse: “Em todos esses assuntos, Karṇa—de alma perversa e intento pecaminoso—foi o principal instigador. Qualquer conduta cruel e injusta que ali se tenha praticado em ligação com o filho de Dhṛtarāṣṭra, nela a vontade traiçoeira de Karṇa foi a causa predominante.”
