निहतः सैन्धवो राजा त्वयास्त्रबलतेजसा । “तुमने अपने अस्त्रोंके बल और तेजसे शूरवीर राजाओंका वध करके दुर्योधनकी विशाल सेनाको रोककर सिन्धुराज जयद्रथको मार गिराया

Transliteration

nihataḥ saindhavo rājā tvayāstrabalatejasā |

Translation

Sañjaya disse: Pela força e pelo brilho de tuas armas, o rei de Sindhu—Jayadratha—foi morto por ti. A frase ressalta como a destreza marcial, quando dirigida por uma determinação inabalável, pode romper até mesmo um vasto exército adversário; mas também carrega o peso ético da guerra, em que a vitória é comprada com a queda de reis renomados.
