तथा चरन्तं समरे तपन्तमिव भास्करम् | पदातिकोटिसाहस्रा: प्रवरायुधपाणय:
tathā carantaṃ samare tapantam iva bhāskaram | padātikoṭisāhasrāḥ pravarāyudhapāṇayaḥ
Sañjaya disse: Assim, movendo-se no campo de batalha, ardente como o Sol, ele foi cercado por incontáveis milhares de soldados de infantaria, com as mãos empunhando armas excelentes—atraídos pelo assombro diante do seu fulgor e pelo ímpeto da guerra.
