अध्याय ६० — कर्णस्य पाञ्चाल-सोमक-निग्रहः
Karna’s Suppression of the Panchala–Somaka Forces
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ााभारत कर्णपर्वनें श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनका संवादविषयक साठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
sañjaya uvāca | sārathis tam apovāha rathena rathināṃ varam | kuru-sainyaṃ tataḥ sarvaṃ bhīmasenam upādravat ||
Sañjaya disse: O cocheiro então levou rapidamente, em seu carro, aquele guerreiro excelso para longe dali. Em seguida, todo o exército dos Kurus avançou em massa e investiu contra Bhimasena. No aperto da guerra, a retirada tática e o ataque coletivo tornam-se decisivos, enquanto o peso moral da violência e do dever continua a pairar sobre cada movimento.
