दृष्टवा तु वारितां युद्धे शस्त्रवृष्टिं दुरासदाम्‌ | कृतवर्माणमासाद्य वारयामास पार्षत:,रणभूमिमें उस दुर्जय शस्त्रवर्षाकों रोकी गयी देख धृष्टद्युम्नने कृतवर्मापर आक्रमण करके उसे आगे बढ़नेसे रोक दिया और उसके सारथिको तीखी धारवाले भल्लसे वेगपूर्वक मारकर यमलोक भेज दिया। मारा गया सारथि रथसे नीचे गिर पड़ा

Transliteration

dṛṣṭvā tu vāritāṃ yuddhe śastravṛṣṭiṃ durāsadām | kṛtavarmāṇam āsādya vārayām āsa pārṣataḥ ||

Translation

Sañjaya disse: “Vendo que aquela chuva de armas, difícil de suportar, fora contida na batalha, o filho de Pṛṣata (Dhṛṣṭadyumna) avançou contra Kṛtavarmā e o reteve, impedindo-o de prosseguir no campo.”
