ततो भीमो रणश्लाघी छादयामास पत्रिभि:
tato bhīmo raṇaślāghī chādayāmāsa patribhiḥ
Sañjaya disse: Então Bhima, célebre por sua proeza no campo de batalha, cobriu o adversário com uma chuva de flechas—imagem de uma força marcial implacável, em que o valor se mede pela firmeza e pela perícia em meio às exigências da guerra segundo o dharma.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in practice: disciplined courage and effectiveness in battle. Ethical emphasis lies not in cruelty but in steadfast performance of one’s duty within the war’s code—valor expressed through skill and resolve.
Sanjaya reports that Bhima, celebrated for battlefield prowess, overwhelms his foe by covering him with arrows—depicting a decisive surge in combat where one warrior gains dominance through sustained missile attack.
