Shloka 139

कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

एवं तस्य गुणान्‌ प्रीतो बहुशो5कथयत्‌ प्रभु: । देवतानां पितृणां च समक्षमरिसूदन,शत्रुसूदन! इसी प्रकार प्रसन्न हुए भगवान्‌ शिवने देवताओं और पितरोंके समक्ष भी बारंबार प्रसन्नतापूर्वक उनके गुणोंका वर्णन किया

evaṁ tasya guṇān prīto bahuśo ’kathayat prabhuḥ | devatānāṁ pitṝṇāṁ ca samakṣam arisūdana ||

Ó matador de inimigos! Assim, o Senhor, jubiloso, repetidas vezes falou de suas virtudes, na presença dos deuses e também dos Pais ancestrais (Pitṛs).
