The Crow-and-Swan Exemplum as Counsel to Karṇa
दुर्योधनं समुद्दिश्य बाणं जग्राह सत्वर: । समाधत्त च तं बाणं धनुर्मध्ये महाबल:
duryodhanaṃ samuddiśya bāṇaṃ jagrāha satvaraḥ | samādhatta ca taṃ bāṇaṃ dhanur-madhye mahābalaḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: Mirando Duryodhana, o guerreiro de grande força tomou depressa uma flecha e a firmou no meio do arco—um gesto de contra-ataque resoluto em meio à ética severa do dever no campo de batalha, onde a resistência sob ferimento é respondida com intenção disciplinada, não com pânico.
