ततः प्रववृते भूय: संग्रामो राजसत्तम । कर्णस्य पाण्डवानां च यमराष्ट्रविवर्धन:,नृपश्रेष्ठ उस समय कर्णका पाण्डव-सैनिकोंके साथ जो पुनः संग्राम आरम्भ हुआ था, वह यमराजके राज्यकी श्रीवृद्धि करनेवाला था
tataḥ pravavṛte bhūyaḥ saṅgrāmo rājasattama | karṇasya pāṇḍavānāṃ ca yamarāṣṭravivardhanaḥ ||
Sañjaya disse: “Então, ó melhor dos reis, a batalha voltou a irromper entre Karṇa e as forças dos Pāṇḍavas — um choque que apenas fazia crescer o domínio de Yama, pois aumentava a colheita da morte.”
