The Tumultuous Battle around Droṇa’s Formation

Educational Q&A

In the chaos of war, valor must be joined with vigilance: even a brief 'antaram' (opening) can be exploited. The verse highlights the ethical tension between noble courage and the harsh strategic reality of battle.

As the fierce fighting intensifies, the Kaurava fighters surge forward, trying to take advantage of any momentary lapse by key Pāṇḍava champions—Bhīma, Sātyaki, or Dhṛṣṭadyumna—to break into and damage the Pāṇḍava formation.
