यत्र युध्यामहे सर्वे धनलो भात्‌ समागता: । हमें धनसे या धन पानेकी इच्छासे क्‍या प्रयोजन है? जो हम सब लोग यहाँ धनके लोभसे एकत्र होकर जूझ रहे हैं

yatra yudhyāmahe sarve dhanalobhāt samāgatāḥ |

Disse Duryodhana: “Aqui estamos todos engajados na batalha, tendo-nos reunido por cobiça de riquezas.” No contexto, a linha expõe a corrosão moral do conflito: a guerra não é enquadrada como dever justo, mas como luta movida pela avidez, pondo implicitamente em questão a legitimidade ética de tal motivação.
