Śaineya’s Breakthrough and Reunion with Arjuna (शैनेयस्य समागमः)
तौ दिशां गजसंकाशौ ज्वलिताविव पावकौ । समापेततुरन्योन्यं शरसड्घैररिंदमौ
tau diśāṃ gajasaṃkāśau jvalitāv iva pāvakau | samāpetatur anyonyaṃ śarasaṅghair ariṃdamau ||
Disse Sañjaya: Aqueles dois heróis—vastos como os elefantes guardiões das direções e ardentes como o fogo—arrojaram-se um contra o outro. Cada qual, esmagador de inimigos, investiu contra o adversário com densas saraivadas de flechas; e o seu encontro inflamou-se num duelo feroz, em que o valor e a ira eclipsaram a contenção no cumprimento do dever de guerra.
