Chapter 111
त॑ भीमसेनो नवभि: सहदेवस्तु पठ्चभि: । युधिष्ठिर: शतेनैव राक्षसं प्रत्यविध्यत,तब भीमसेनने नौ, सहदेवने पाँच और युधिष्छिरने सौ बाणोंसे राक्षस अलम्बुषको घायल कर दिया
taṁ bhīmaseno navabhiḥ sahadevas tu pañcabhiḥ | yudhiṣṭhiraḥ śatenaiva rākṣasaṁ pratyavidhyat ||
Disse Sañjaya: Bhīmasena atingiu o rākṣasa com nove flechas, Sahadeva com cinco, e Yudhiṣṭhira com uma centena inteira — ferindo assim o demônio Alambuṣa. A cena ressalta uma resistência disciplinada e coordenada contra um inimigo cruel e fora do dharma, em meio ao caos da guerra.
संजय उवाच
Even in war, righteous action emphasizes disciplined, proportionate force and coordinated effort to restrain violent aggressors; the Pāṇḍavas act together to check a destructive rākṣasa.
Sañjaya reports that Bhīma, Sahadeva, and Yudhiṣṭhira simultaneously counterattack and wound the rākṣasa Alambuṣa with 9, 5, and 100 arrows respectively.
