अदृश्यांस्तावकान् योधानू् प्रचक्रे शत्रुतापन: । उस समय शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले नरव्याप्र अर्जुनने अपने छोड़े हुए सहस्तरों बाणोंद्वारा आपके योद्धाओंको अदृश्य कर दिया

adṛśyāṁs tāvakān yodhān pracakre śatrutāpanaḥ |
Disse Sañjaya: Arjuna, o abrasador de inimigos, tornou invisíveis os teus guerreiros — tão completamente foram cobertos e esmagados pelas torrentes de flechas, aos milhares, que ele disparou. No clima moral da guerra, esta imagem ressalta como a proeza, quando atrelada a um voto e a uma causa assumida, pode reduzir até os combatentes mais poderosos à impotência e ao apagamento, em meio às consequências do lado que escolheram.
