तौ च दृष्टवा महेष्वासावभिमन्युपुरोगमान् | बभूवतुर्मुदा युक्तौ निध्नन्तो तव वाहिनीम्,वे दोनों महाधनुर्धर धृष्टद्यम्म और भीमसेन भी अभिमन्यु आदि वीरोंको सहायताके लिये आते देख हर्ष और उत्साहमें भर गये और आपकी सेनाका विनाश करने लगे
tau ca dṛṣṭvā maheṣvāsāv abhimanyupurogāmān | babhūvatur mudā yuktau nighnantau tava vāhinīm ||
Sañjaya disse: Ao verem aqueles arqueiros poderosos—Abhimanyu e os heróis que marchavam sob sua liderança—Dhṛṣṭadyumna e Bhīmasena encheram-se de alegria e de novo ardor, e começaram a abater teu exército. Na tessitura moral do épico, este momento mostra como a visão de companheiros justos e o socorro oportuno podem acender a coragem, convertendo a resolução em ação decisiva no caos da guerra.
