भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ७२: सैन्यगुणवर्णनम्, व्यूहरक्षा, दैव-पुरुषकारचिन्ता
ततो बलेन महता पुत्रस्तव विशाम्पते । जुगोप भीष्ममासाद्य प्रार्थयानो महद् यश:
tato balena mahatā putras tava viśāmpate | jugopa bhīṣmam āsādya prārthayāno mahad yaśaḥ ||
Sañjaya disse: Depois disso, ó senhor dos povos, teu filho—amparado por grande força—aproximou-se de Bhishma e colocou-se sob sua proteção, buscando uma fama grandiosa.
