Adhyāya 69: Strategic duels under Bhīṣma’s command

वारितो5सि मया तात मुनिभिरव्वेदपारगै: । मा गच्छ संयुगं तेन वासुदेवेन धन्विना
Bhīṣma uvāca |
Vārito ’si mayā tāta munibhir avvedapāragaiḥ |
Mā gaccha saṃyugaṃ tena Vāsudevena dhanvinā ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Meu filho, foste advertido — por mim e por sábios que dominaram os Vedas. Não vás ao combate contra Vāsudeva, o arqueiro. Contudo, iludido, não deste valor a estes conselhos.”
