Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
तत: शब्देन महता विननाद महास्वन: । तेन नादेन वित्रस्ता कलिड्रानां वरूथिनी
tataḥ śabdena mahatā vinanāda mahāsvanaḥ | tena nādena vitrastā kaliṅgānāṃ varūthinī ||
Disse Sañjaya: Então o guerreiro de voz poderosa ribombou com um brado imenso. Atingida por aquele clamor reverberante, a formação de batalha dos kalingas caiu em pânico. Na atmosfera moral da guerra, este momento mostra como a simples força da presença e a resolução destemida podem abalar o exército adversário antes mesmo de as armas decidirem o desfecho.
