भीष्मसेनासंनिवेशः — Bhīṣma’s Mobilization, Omens, and the Kaurava Array
अहन्यहनि पार्थानां वृद्ध: कुरुपितामह: । भरद्वाजात्मजश्रैव प्रातरुत्थाय संयतौ
ahan-yahani pārthānāṁ vṛddhaḥ kuru-pitāmahaḥ | bharadvājātmajaś caiva prātar utthāya saṁyataḥ ||
Sañjaya disse: Dia após dia, o ancião avô dos Kurus e também o filho de Bharadvāja (Droṇa), levantando-se cedo e refreando a mente, proferiam uma bênção: “Que os Pāṇḍavas sejam vitoriosos.” Contudo, presos ao voto que haviam assumido, lutavam contra os Pāṇḍavas por tua causa. O verso realça a tensão moral entre a retidão interior e a obrigação exterior imposta pelo juramento.
