ते तु भित्तवा तव सुतं दःशासनमयोमुखा:
Transliteration
te tu bhittvā tava sutaṃ duḥśāsanam ayomukhāḥ
Translation
Disse Sañjaya: Mas eles, de rosto de ferro e implacáveis, romperam as fileiras e abateram teu filho Duḥśāsana. O verso ressalta o sombrio ímpeto moral da guerra: quando a violência é escolhida como política, nem mesmo os poderosos e os infames escapam às suas consequências.
