प्रवीरान् सर्वलोकस्य धार्तराष्ट्रानू महारथान् । जघान समरे वीर: पाण्डव: परवीरहा,महाराज! तब शत्रुवीरोंका नाश करनेवाले पाण्डुकुमार वीर भीमसेनने सम्पूर्ण जगत्के उन समस्त राजाओं, प्रमुख वीरों तथा आपके महारथी पुत्रोंको पृथक्ू-पृथक् बाण मारकर समरांगणमें घायल कर दिया

jaghāna samare vīraḥ pāṇḍavaḥ paravīrahā mahārāja ||
Sañjaya disse: Ó rei, o valente Pāṇḍava —Bhīmasena, matador de campeões inimigos— golpeou em combate os principais heróis de todo o exército, incluindo teus grandes guerreiros de carro, os Dhārtarāṣṭra, ferindo-os um a um com suas flechas.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the harsh reality of kṣatriya-dharma in a righteous war: even celebrated warriors must face injury and defeat when duty and strategy demand it. It also reflects the epic’s ethical tension—valor and obligation operate within a framework that still produces widespread suffering.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Pāṇḍava hero (understood as Bhīmasena) attacks and wounds the leading Kaurava great chariot-warriors in the thick of battle, striking them individually with arrows.
