स तथा पीड्यमानोड<पि सर्वशस्त्रैर्महारथै: । मत्वा तृणेन तांस्तुल्यान् विचचार गतव्यथ:
sa tathā pīḍyamāno 'pi sarvaśastrair mahārathaiḥ | matvā tṛṇena tāṁs tulyān vicacāra gatavyathaḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: Embora fosse assaltado e atormentado por toda espécie de armas arremessadas pelos grandes guerreiros de carro, Bhīmasena, considerando-os nada mais que lâminas de relva, movia-se sem aflição.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast courage and mental mastery in adversity: even when struck by many weapons, a true hero remains unshaken, treating threats as insignificant and continuing his duty without inner distress.
Sañjaya describes Bhīmasena on the battlefield being attacked by multiple great chariot-warriors with various weapons; yet Bhīma, undeterred and seemingly pain-free, continues to move about, regarding his assailants as negligible.
