युधिष्ठिरं द्वादशभिर्बाह्वोरुरसि चार्पयत्‌ । उन्होंने भीमसेनको बारह

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | yudhiṣṭhiraṃ dvādaśabhir bāhv-orurasi cārpayat | yatamānāś ca te vīrā dravamāṇān mahārathān ||

Translation

Sañjaya disse: Ele atingiu o rei Yudhiṣṭhira com doze flechas, cravando-as em seus braços e no peito. Ao mesmo tempo, aqueles valentes guerreiros, empenhando toda a sua força, pressionavam os grandes combatentes de carro que eram forçados a recuar — imagem de um combate implacável, em que a determinação e o dever (dharma) são provados no caos da guerra.
