भीष्मरक्षण-प्रकरणम् / The Protective Screen around Bhīṣma and the Śalya–Yudhiṣṭhira Clash
को हि शक्तो रणे जेतुं पाण्डवं रभसं तदा । यस्य गोप्ता जगद्गोप्ता शड्खचक्रगदाधर:
sañjaya uvāca | ko hi śakto raṇe jetuṃ pāṇḍavaṃ rabhasaṃ tadā | yasya goptā jagadgoptā śaṅkhacakragadādharaḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: Quem, de fato, poderia então derrotar em batalha o impetuoso Pāṇḍava—aquele cujo protetor é o Protetor do mundo inteiro, o portador da concha, do disco e da maça? O verso ressalta que a força marcial de Arjuna é inseparável da guarda moral e cósmica de Vāsudeva; quando a proteção divina se alinha a uma causa justa, a mera destreza humana não pode prevalecer.
