उत्तङ्कोपाख्यानम् — Maṇi-Kuṇḍala Retrieval and Entry into Nāgaloka
Chapter 57
उत्तंक बोले--नरेश्वर! मैं कहाँ आपकी पत्नीको ढूँढ़ता फिरूँगा? मुझे क्योंकर उनका दर्शन हो सकेगा? आप स्वयं ही अपनी पत्नीके पास क्यों नहीं चलते? ।। सौदास उवाच तां द्रक्ष्यति भवानद्य कस्मिंश्चिद् वननिर्झरे । षष्ठे काले न हि मया सा शक््या द्रष्टमद्य वै,सौदासने कहा--ब्रह्मन! उन्हें आज आप वनमें किसी झरनेके पास देखेंगे। यह दिनका छठा भाग है (मैं आहारकी खोजमें हूँ), अतः इस समय मैं उनसे नहीं मिल सकता
saudāsa uvāca | tāṁ drakṣyati bhavān adya kasmiṁścid vananirjhare | ṣaṣṭhe kāle na hi mayā sā śakyā draṣṭum adya vai ||
Uttaṅka disse: “Ó rei, onde irei procurar tua esposa? Como poderei vê-la? Por que não vais tu mesmo ao encontro de tua rainha?” Saudāsa respondeu: “Ó brâmane, hoje tu a verás junto a uma fonte na floresta. Mas nesta sexta parte do dia não posso encontrá-la agora—não é o momento em que me é possível vê-la.”
