ततः कदाचितन्निवेदान्निराकाराश्रितेन च । लोकतत्त्र॑ परित्यक्तं दुःखार्तेन भृशं॑ मया,इस प्रकार बारंबार क्लेश उठानेसे एक दिन मेरे मनमें बड़ा खेद हुआ और मैं दुखोंसे घबराकर निराकार परमात्माकी शरण ली तथा समस्त लोकव्यवहारका परित्याग कर दिया

tataḥ kadācit tannivedān nirākārāśritena ca | lokatattvaṃ parityaktaṃ duḥkhārtena bhṛśaṃ mayā ||

Então, certa vez —consumido por aflições repetidas— meu coração encheu-se de profundo remorso. Oprimido pelo sofrimento, busquei refúgio no Supremo sem forma e renunciei a toda a teia de práticas e convenções mundanas.

Repeated suffering can awaken dispassion (vairāgya), leading one to seek refuge in the formless Supreme and to renounce worldly entanglements; the verse frames renunciation as an ethical-spiritual response to the recognition of the limits of worldly life.
