अध्याय ६ — युधिष्ठिरस्य वैराग्य-वाक्यं धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनगमनाभिलाषश्च

Chapter 6: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Renunciatory Appeal and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Resolve for the Forest

कौन्तेय तं न हिंसेत्‌ स यो महीं विजिगीषते । गणानां भेदने योगमीप्सेथा: सह मन्सत्रिभि:

Kaunteya taṁ na hiṁset sa yo mahīṁ vijigīṣate | gaṇānāṁ bhedane yogam īpsethāḥ saha mantribhiḥ ||

Dhṛtarāṣṭra disse: “Ó filho de Kuntī, quem busca conquistar toda a terra nunca deve ferir aquele governante subordinado (vizinho). Antes, junto de teus ministros, deves visar constantemente os meios estratégicos de criar divisões entre as facções do inimigo.”
