Educational Q&A

Even a sovereign acts within dharma by seeking and honoring an elder’s permission; rightful conduct is shown through restraint, propriety, and respect for authority rather than mere power.

After obtaining Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s consent, Yudhiṣṭhira—accompanied by the palace women, attendants, servants, and the priest—moves about peacefully to different places and visits the sages’ hermitages.
