Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
घोरो विरूप: संवर्त: सुधन्वा चाष्टम: स्मृत: । एतेडष्टौ वहल्लिजा: सर्वे ज्ञाननिष्ठा निरामया:
ghoro virūpaḥ saṃvartaḥ sudhanvā cāṣṭamaḥ smṛtaḥ | ete ’ṣṭau vahallijāḥ sarve jñānaniṣṭhā nirāmayāḥ ||
Vasiṣṭha disse: “Ghora, Virūpa, Saṃvarta e o oitavo, Sudhanvā—assim são lembrados entre eles. Esses oito, nascidos na linhagem associada a Agni, permanecem firmes no conhecimento espiritual e livres de aflição. Suas vidas exemplificam uma disciplina: um estado sem doença e sem tristeza, alicerçado na sabedoria e não no afã mundano.”
