Gopradāna–Bhūmidāna Guidelines and Recipient Eligibility
फलकामो यशस्काम: पुष्टिकामश्न नित्यदा । घृतं दद्याद् द्विजातिभ्य: पुरुष: शुचिरात्मवान्,जो सदा फल, यश और पुष्टि चाहता हो वह पुरुष पवित्र हो मनको वशमें करके द्विजातियोंको घृत दान करे
phalakāmo yaśaskāmaḥ puṣṭikāmaś ca nityadā | ghṛtaṁ dadyād dvijātibhyaḥ puruṣaḥ śucir ātmavān ||
Disse Bhīṣma: O homem que continuamente deseja resultados tangíveis, boa reputação e bem-estar do corpo deve, sendo puro e senhor de si, dar manteiga clarificada (ghee) em caridade aos duas-vezes-nascidos (dvija).
