यजनं बहुशश्चाग्नौ जगु: सामानि सामगा: । ततश्चन्दनकाष्ठैश्ष तथा कालीयकैरपि

Transliteration

yajanaṃ bahuśaścāgnau jaguḥ sāmāni sāmagāḥ | tataścandanakāṣṭhaiś ca tathā kālīyakair api ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: Os cantores do Sāma repetidamente lançaram oferendas no fogo sagrado e entoaram hinos sāman. Depois alimentaram-no também com madeira de sândalo e com a fragrância kālīyaka, intensificando a solenidade e a pureza do rito com substâncias auspiciosas e perfumadas.
