लोकपालोडन््तर्तितात्मा प्रसादो हयगर्दभि: । पवित्र च महांश्नैव नियमो नियमाश्रित:
lokapālo ’ntarhitātmā prasādo hayagardabhiḥ | pavitraṃ ca mahāṃś caiva niyamo niyamāśritaḥ ||
Vāyu disse: “Ele é o Protetor dos mundos, movendo-se em forma invisível, sempre pleno de serena graça. Ele monta um carro atrelado a cavalos e mulas. É puro e grandemente venerável; alcança-se por meio da observância de disciplinas como a pureza e o contentamento, e ele próprio é o amparo e refúgio dessas disciplinas.”
