Shloka 8

तेन दीप्तांशुजालेन निर्दग्धा दानवास्तदा । अन्तरिक्षान्महाराज निपेतुस्ते सहस्रशः,“महाराज! उनकी प्रज्वलित किरणोंके स्पर्शसे उस समय सहस्रों दानव दग्ध होकर आकाशसे पृथ्वीपर गिरने लगे

tena dīptāṁśujālena nirdagdhā dānavās tadā | antarīkṣān mahārāja nipetus te sahasraśaḥ ||

Bhīṣma disse: “Ó grande rei, chamuscados pelo toque daquela rede de raios ardentes, os Dānavas foram queimados, e aos milhares caíram do céu para a terra.”
