सत्त्ववान् सात्त्विक: सत्य: सत्यधर्मपरायण: । अभिप्राय: प्रियाहों5र्ह: प्रियकृत् प्रीतिवर्धन:
sattvavān sāttvikaḥ satyaḥ satyadharmaparāyaṇaḥ | abhiprāyaḥ priyāhaḥ arhaḥ priyakṛt prītivardhanaḥ ||
Disse Bhīṣma: “Ele é dotado de força interior e excelência; é sāttvika por natureza; é a própria Verdade—aquele que fala a verdade e se firma no dharma. É o alvo querido dos que amam; digno de receber o que há de mais precioso; venerável para todos; aquele que faz o que agrada aos seus devotos; e aquele que faz crescer o amor dos que o amam.”
