कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity

देवि! ऐसा मनुष्य अपने ही किये हुए कर्मोके फलके अनुसार मनुष्योंमें तथा जाति- बन्धुओंमें नीच समझा जाता है और सब लोग उससे द्वेष रखते हैं ।। अपर: सर्वभूतानि दयावाननुपश्यति । मैत्रदृष्टि: पितृसमो निर्वैरों नियतेन्द्रिय:,इसके विपरीत जो मनुष्य सब प्राणियोंके प्रति दयादृष्टि रखता है, सबको मित्र समझता है, सबके ऊपर पिताके समान स्नेह रखता है, किसीके साथ वैर नहीं करता और इन्द्रियोंको वशमें किये रहता है, जो हाथ-पैर आदिको अपने अधीन रखकर किसी भी जीवको न तो उद्वेगमें डालता और न मारता ही है, जिसपर सब प्राणी विश्वास करते हैं, जो रस्सी, डंडे, ढेले और घातक अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंसे प्राणियोंको कष्ट नहीं पहुँचाता, जिसके कर्म कोमल एवं निर्दोष होते हैं तथा जो सदा ही दयापरायण होता है, ऐसे स्वभाव और आचरणवाला पुरुष स्वर्गलोकमें दिव्य शरीर धारण करता है और वहाँके दिव्य भवनमें देवताओंके समान आनन्दपूर्वक निवास करता है

devi! eṣa manuṣyaḥ svayaṃ kṛtakarmaphalānusāreṇa manuṣyeṣu tathā jāti-bandhuṣu nīcaḥ saṃjñāyate, sarve ca lokāḥ tasmin dveṣaṃ kurvanti. aparaḥ sarvabhūtāni dayāvān anupaśyati; maitradṛṣṭiḥ pitṛsamo nirvairo niyatendriyaḥ.

Maheshvara disse: “Ó Deusa, aquele que age desse modo torna-se, pelo próprio fruto de seus atos, tido como vil entre os homens e até entre os seus parentes; todos passam a odiá-lo. Mas, ao contrário, quem contempla todos os seres com compaixão—quem a todos considera amigos, a todos dedica afeição como a de um pai, não guarda inimizade e mantém os sentidos sob domínio—quem, refreando mãos e pés, não perturba nem mata criatura alguma; em quem todos os seres confiam; quem não atormenta os seres com corda, bastão, pedras ou armas mortíferas; cujas ações são brandas e sem culpa, e que está sempre devotado à misericórdia—tal homem alcança o céu, assume um corpo divino e habita com alegria em mansões celestes, como os deuses.”
