लोकद्देष्यो5धम: पुंसां स्वयं कर्मफलै: कृत्तै: एष देवि मनुष्येषु बोद्धव्यो ज्ञातिबन्धुषु

Transliteration

lokad dveṣyo 'dhamaḥ puṁsāṁ svayaṁ karmaphalaiḥ kṛttaiḥ | eṣa devi manuṣyeṣu boddhavyo jñātibandhuṣu ||

Translation

Śrī Maheśvara disse: “Entre os homens, o mais baixo é aquele que se torna odiado pela sociedade pelas consequências de seus próprios atos. Ó Devī, na vida humana isto deve ser reconhecido, sobretudo no que toca aos parentes e amigos íntimos: as ações que alguém fabrica por si mesmo podem romper os laços que deveriam protegê-lo e ampará-lo.”
