अब्भक्षेवायुभक्षैश्न शैवलोत्तरभोजनै: । अश्मकुट्टैस्तथा दान्तै: सम्प्रक्षालैस्तथापरै:

Transliteration

abbhakṣevāyubhakṣaiś ca śaivalottarabhojanaiḥ | aśmakuttaiś tathā dāntaiḥ samprakṣālaiś tathāparaiḥ ||

Translation

Maheshvara disse: “Alguns vivem apenas de água; outros, como se se alimentassem somente de ar; outros subsistem de algas e de sustento tão escasso quanto esse. Alguns suportam austeridades como se mastigassem pedras; outros vivem com os sentidos refreados e purificados por lavagens repetidas e outras disciplinas.”
