Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
गौर: श्यामस्तथा कृष्ण: पाण्डुरो धूमलोहित: । विकृताक्षो विशालाक्षो दिग्वासा: सर्ववासक:
gauraḥ śyāmas tathā kṛṣṇaḥ pāṇḍuro dhūmalohitaḥ | vikṛtākṣo viśālākṣo digvāsāḥ sarvavāsakaḥ ||
Vāsudeva disse: “Ele aparece em muitas formas—às vezes claro, às vezes moreno, às vezes escuro, às vezes pálido; por vezes da cor da fumaça ou vermelho-cobre. Às vezes seus olhos parecem distorcidos, e outras vezes ele se adorna com olhos belos e amplos. Às vezes é visto sem vestes, e outras vezes ornado com toda espécie de roupas.”
