Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

अर्थात्‌ प्रियतरत्वं च सर्वलोकेषु वै तदा । प्राप्तवानेव राजेन्द्र सुवर्णक्षान्महेश्वरात्‌

arthāt priyataratvaṃ ca sarvalokeṣu vai tadā | prāptavāneva rājendra suvarṇakṣān maheśvarāt, bharatanandana |

Disse Bhishma: Assim, ó rei, então ele alcançou o estado de ser o mais amado em todos os mundos—como se o tivesse obtido do próprio Maheshvara. Ó alegria dos Bharatas, diz-se que outrora, tendo agradado Mahadeva no ashrama de Badarī, Krishna recebeu do grande Senhor, dotado de visão divina, uma estima que supera todas as conquistas; por isso tornou-se o mais amado de todos os seres em cada domínio.
