Householder Duties and Daily Offerings
सदा यज्ञेन देवाश्व सदा55तिथ्येन मानुषा: । छन््दतश्न यथा नित्यमर्हान् भुञज्जीत नित्यश:
sadā yajñena devāś ca sadātithyena mānuṣāḥ | chandasā ca yathā nityam arhān bhuñjīta nityaśaḥ ||
Vāyu disse: “Diariamente deve-se honrar os deuses por meio do sacrifício, e os homens por meio da hospitalidade aos hóspedes. Do mesmo modo, pela recitação e estudo regulares dos hinos védicos, deve-se reverenciar devidamente os dignos de honra—especialmente os veneráveis rishis. Só depois de cumprir esses atos diários de culto e serviço respeitoso é apropriado tomar alimento a cada dia.”
