Householder Duties and Daily Offerings
पितृन् संतर्पयित्वा तु बलिं कुर्याद् विधानतः । वैश्वदेवं ततः कुर्यात् पश्चाद् ब्राह्यगवाचनम्
pitṝn santarpayitvā tu baliṁ kuryād vidhānataḥ | vaiśvadevaṁ tataḥ kuryāt paścād brāhyagavācanam ||
Tendo primeiro satisfeito os Pitṛs—os espíritos ancestrais—com as oferendas prescritas, deve-se então apresentar o bali diário segundo o rito. Depois, cumpre realizar o ofício de Vaiśvadeva e, por fim, prosseguir para a recitação e o ensino do saber sagrado bramânico—assim ordenando os deveres do lar conforme o dharma.
