Āstīka Stops the Sarpa-satra; Royal Closure and Protective Phalaśruti (आस्तीकः सर्पसत्रनिवर्तनम्)
प्रसादितो मया पूर्व तवार्थाय पितामह: । तस्मात् तव भयं नास्ति व्येतु ते मानसो ज्वर:,तुम्हारे लिये मैंने पहलेसे ही पितामह ब्रह्माजीको प्रसन्न कर लिया है, अतः तुम्हें कुछ भी भय नहीं है। तुम्हारी मानसिक चिन्ता दूर हो जानी चाहिये”
śaunaka uvāca |
prasādito mayā pūrvaṃ tavārthāya pitāmahaḥ |
tasmāt tava bhayaṃ nāsti vyetu te mānaso jvaraḥ ||
“Antes, por tua causa, já alcancei o favor do Pitāmaha (Brahmā). Portanto, não há temor para ti; que cesse em tua mente a febre da inquietação.”
शौनक उवाच
Fear is eased when one has secured rightful support and divine favor; mental distress (mānasa-jvara) should be consciously released when there is sound cause for reassurance.
Śaunaka consoles his listener by stating that he has already propitiated Pitāmaha (Brahmā) on the listener’s behalf, and therefore there is no reason to fear; the listener is urged to let go of inner anxiety.
