उवाच चैनं भूयो5पि नारायणमिदं वच: । अजरश्नामरश्न स्थाममृतेन विनाप्यहम्,इतना कहकर वे भगवान् नारायणसे फिर यों बोले--“भगवन्! मैं अमृत पीये बिना ही अजर-अमर हो जाऊँ'
śaunaka uvāca | uvāca cainaṃ bhūyo 'pi nārāyaṇam idaṃ vacaḥ | ajaraś cāmaraś ca sthāmaṃ ṛtena vinā 'py aham |
Śaunaka voltou a dirigir-se a Nārāyaṇa e disse: «Ó Senhor, concede-me tornar-me sem velhice e sem morte, mesmo sem beber o amṛta, o néctar da imortalidade».
