असप्प्राप्तास्तु ता धारास्तेजसा जातवेदस: । ख एव समशुष्यन्त न काश्चित् पावकं गता:,परंतु अग्निके तेजसे वे धाराएँ वहाँ पहुँचनेसे पहले आकाशमें ही सूख जाती थीं। अग्नितक कोई धारा पहुँची ही नहीं
asapprāptāstu tā dhārāstejasā jātavedasaḥ | kha eva samaśuṣyanta na kāścit pāvakaṃ gatāḥ ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Aquelas correntes de água, incapazes de alcançar o Fogo, secaram-se no meio do céu pela energia ardente de Jātavedas. Nem uma única chegou à chama. A cena ressalta o poder avassalador e inexpugnável do fogo divino—diante do qual os remédios comuns falham perante um tejas superior.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the supremacy of tejas (fiery spiritual/elemental power): when a force is sustained by divine energy, ordinary countermeasures (like water against fire) may fail before even making contact, suggesting the limits of merely external remedies.
Streams of water are being directed toward a blazing fire, but Agni’s intense radiance evaporates them in the sky itself; none of the streams reaches the fire.
