Raivataka-giri Mahotsava and the Counsel on Subhadrā’s Marriage (रैवतके महोत्सवः — सुभद्राविवाहोपायविचारः)
तस्या हेतोर्गदे भीमे संगृह्लीतावुभौ तदा । प्रगृह्ा च गदे भीमे तस्यां तौ काममोहितौ,उस सुन्दरीको पानेके लिये दोनों भाइयोंने उस समय हाथमें भयंकर गदाएँ ले लीं। दोनों ही उसके प्रति कामसे मोहित हो रहे थे
tasyā hetor gade bhīme saṅgṛhītāv ubhau tadā | pragṛhya ca gade bhīme tasyāṃ tau kāmamohitau ||
Nārada disse: Por causa dela, naquele momento ambos agarraram suas terríveis maças. Erguendo aqueles porretes pavorosos, os dois—enfeitiçados pelo desejo por ela—foram impelidos ao conflito.
नारद उवाच
Unchecked desire (kāma) clouds judgment (moha) and can turn relationships into rivalry, pushing people toward violence; the ethical warning is to cultivate restraint and discernment before passion becomes a cause of harm.
Nārada narrates that two brothers, captivated by a woman, arm themselves with fearsome maces and raise them—signaling that their infatuation is escalating into a physical confrontation.
