ब्रह्मरूपधराउचदूत्वा प्रशान्तान् पाण्डुनन्दनान् | कौन्तेयान् मनुजेन्द्राणां विस्मप: समजायत,ब्राह्मणगका रूप धारण करके प्रशान्तभावसे बैठे हुए वे वीर पुरुष कुन्तीपुत्र पाण्डव ही थे, यह सुनकर वहाँ आये हुए राजाओंको बड़ा आश्वर्य हुआ
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | brahmarūpadharā uccadūtvā praśāntān pāṇḍunandanān | kaunteyān manujendrāṇāṃ vismapaḥ samajāyata ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Quando se anunciou que aqueles heróis, calmos e senhores de si, sentados ali sob o disfarce de brāhmaṇas, eram na verdade os irmãos Pāṇḍava, filhos de Pāṇḍu—os filhos de Kuntī—, grande assombro ergueu-se entre os reis reunidos. O momento ressalta como a aparência pode ocultar o verdadeiro valor, e como a contenção e a compostura podem coexistir com o poder régio.
