बक-राक्षसस्य आह्वानम् तथा वृक्षयुद्धम्
Summons of Baka and the Tree-Weapon Engagement
स तत्र पीत्वा पानीयं स्नात्वा च भरतर्षभ । तेषामर्थे च जग्राह भ्रातृणां भ्रातृवत्सल: । उत्तरीयेण पानीयमानयामास भारत,भरतश्रेष्ठ! वहाँ पानी पीकर स्नान कर लेनेके पश्चात् भाइयोंपर स्नेह रखनेवाले भीम उनके लिये भी चादरमें पानी ले आये
sa tatra pītvā pānīyaṃ snātvā ca bharatarṣabha | teṣām arthe ca jagrāha bhrātṝṇāṃ bhrātṛvatsalaḥ || uttarīyeṇa pānīyam ānayāmāsa bhārata ||
Disse Vaiśaṃpāyana: “Ali, depois de beber água e banhar-se, ó touro entre os Bhāratas, Bhīma—sempre afetuoso para com os irmãos—tomou também água por eles e a trouxe em sua veste superior (uttarīya).”
