बक-राक्षसस्य आह्वानम् तथा वृक्षयुद्धम्

अनुज्ञातः स गच्छेति क्षात्रा ज्येष्देन भारत । जगाम तत्र यत्र सम सारसा जलचारिण:,भारत! तब बड़े भाई युधिष्ठिरने “जाओ!” कहकर उन्हें अनुमति दे दी। आज्ञा पाकर भीमसेन वहीं गये, जहाँ ये जलचर सारस पक्षी कलरव कर रहे थे
anujñātaḥ sa gaccheti kṣātrā jyeṣṭhena bhārata | jagāma tatra yatra sma sārāsā jalacāriṇaḥ ||
Disse Vaiśaṃpāyana: “Ó Bhārata, quando o irmão mais velho, o kṣatriya Yudhiṣṭhira, lhe concedeu licença dizendo ‘Vai’, Bhīmasena partiu de imediato. Tendo recebido permissão, dirigiu-se ao próprio lugar onde as sārasa aquáticas clamavam.”
