Vāraṇāvata-prasaṃsā and the Pāṇḍavas’ Departure (वरणावत-प्रशंसा तथा पाण्डव-प्रयाणम्)
अब्रवीदिति मां भीष्म वचन प्रीतिवर्धनम् अहं प्रियतमः पुत्र: पितुद्रोण महात्मन:,भीष्मजी! वे एक दिन मुझसे मेरी प्रसन्नताको बढ़ानेवाली यह बात बोले--'द्रोण! मैं अपने महात्मा पिताका अत्यन्त प्रिय पुत्र हूँ
abravīd iti māṃ bhīṣma vacanaṃ prītivardhanam | ahaṃ priyatamaḥ putraḥ pituḥ droṇa mahātmanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó Bhīṣma, certa vez ele me falou palavras que aumentaram minha alegria: ‘Droṇa, eu sou o filho mais amado de meu nobre pai.’”
