पाण्डोः प्रव्रज्या-व्रतवर्णनम् | Pāṇḍu’s Resolve for Renunciation and Forest Discipline
मन्ये वरयितव्यास्ता इत्यहं धीमतां वर । संतानार्थ कुलस्यास्य यद् वा विदुर मन्यसे,बुद्धिमानोंमें श्रेष्ठ विदुर! मेरी राय है कि इस कुलकी संतानपरम्पराको बढ़ानेके लिये उक्त कन्याओंका वरण करना चाहिये अथवा जैसी तुम्हारी सम्मति हो, वैसा किया जाय
manye varayitavyās tā ity ahaṃ dhīmatāṃ vara | santānārthaṃ kulasyāsya yad vā vidura manyase ||
Disse Bhīṣma: “Em meu juízo, ó melhor entre os sábios, essas donzelas devem ser escolhidas em casamento para que a descendência desta casa continue. Contudo, Vidura, faça-se como tu considerares apropriado.”
भीष्म उवाच
